Obituary from the Toledo Blade: Mrs. Earl S. Smith, former president of the Toledo Woman's Club, and wife of the president-treasurer of Toledo Porcelain Enamel Products Co., died yesterday in her home at 2002 Shenandoah Rd. She was 57 and had been in failing health for a year. A lifelong Toledo resident, Mrs. Smith, the former Edith Rohr, was appointed to the board of the Toledo Woman's Club in 1928. In subsequent years she also served as vice-president and treasurer. Mrs. Smith was an officer in Toledo's NRA Blue Eagle Drive in 1933 and was an active participant in Community Chest drives. Surviving besides her husband are a daughter, Patricia S. Smith; son, Carlton S.; mother, Mrs. Louis Rohr and brothers William F. Rohr, all of Toledo; and Walter Rohr, Detroit. Services conducted by Stephen Mahon will be at 2:00 pm Monday in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. The body is in the Bennet Funeral Home.

Obituary from the Toledo Blade newspaper: Clara Klauser Rohr age 99, a life long resident of Toledo, died Monday, December 17, in her home. For 56 years Mrs. Rohr was married to the late community leader John T. Rohr, former president and chairman of the Toledo Trust Company, and a member of the Federal Reserve Board of Cleveland. Her husband was a director of many of the area's leading companies such as Owens-Illinois, Owens Corning, Champion Spark Plug, Bostwick Braun, DeVilbiss, and Hind & Dauch Paper. She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Lydia Klauser, one of Toledo's early German-American families that settled here in the last century. Her father's company made Toledo's first bicycles, the Toledo Metal Wheel Company (later known as the Gendron Wheel Company). At the turn of the century, her uncle, Herman Klauser, and her father established the old East Side Bank. Her father also owned and operated for a time the Findlay Brewery Company, the Toledo-Port Clinton Electric Railway, and the Klauser Chemical Company and lnhalatorium.
