Gobel, aged 72, who died at the home of James Extine, 997 Linden Avenue, will be conducted at the Deavertown Church Sunday afternoon, the cortege leaving the home at 1 o'clock. Interment will be made in the Deavertown Cemetery. Mr. Gobel was a native of Morgan County where he spent his early life, later moving to West Virginia, where he was employed by his brother in the lumber business. For the past seven years he had been a resident of Newark, but came here recently to make his home. Mr. Gobel is survived by two sisters, Miss Emma Gobel of this city; Mrs. Mary Fisher of Morgan County, and a number of nieces and nephews.

On January 1, 1896, he married Alice May Hartley. She and a son died earlier. Kenneth Gobel, 75, of 320 N. Grant St., Fostoria, a Wood County native, died Friday morning at his home. A World War II Navy veteran, he worked as a custodian for Fostoria City Schools until his retirement in August of 1975. He was a member of the Church of the Brethren, Fostoria. He was born on Feb, 24, 1910 to Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Gobel (Alice Hartley). He married Stella E. Went on May 5, 1931 and she survives. Also surviving is one son, David, Arcadia; one sister, Mrs. Doris Leith, Fostoria; one grandson and two step grandchildren. A son, Floyd, preceded him in death. The funeral will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, West Millgrove. Rev. Tim Hall will officiate. Visitation is Sunday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
