Carrick, 84 years, of Toledo, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 28, 2005, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus after a brief illness, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Carrick was born in North Baltimore, Ohio, on March 4, 1921, to Lloyd and Erma (Gobel) Carrick. He married Phyllis M. Schneider in Toledo on June 21, 1941, and she preceded him in death on July 5, 2002. A WW II Navy Veteran, he worked as a quality control / master technician for the Dresch Tolson Labratories for over 60 years. He also founded the Buckeye Dental Laboratory in 1947. A member of the Grace Lutheran Church. Mr. Carrick was also a member of the Damascus Lodge #643 F & AM and former 1st Vice President of the American Legion Conn-Weissenberger Post #587. A loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Surviving are his daughters, Sandra (Frank) Foster, Karen (Rodney) Chambers, Lisa (Richard) Greene; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Gene (Mary) Carrick; sister, Ruth May (Lowell) Nye and aunt, Elsie Ridley. He was preceded in death by his brother, Clair Carrick. Friends will be received in the Neville Funeral Home Southwest Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland (419-865-8879) from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2005. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, March 31, 2005, at the Grace Lutheran Church, 4441 Monroe St., Toledo. Burial Toledo Memorial Park.
