Born March 1, 1905 in Arcadia, Ohio, she was a graduate of the Flower Hospital School of Nursing, where she was a private nurse, head of Flower Emergency Room for a time and also taught nursing. She was very active in the O.E.S. and Lady Shriners. The widow of Dr. E.R. Marker, Sr. and Richard W. Kazmaier, Sr. She is survived by daughter, Margaret J. Marker of Toledo; stepson, Richard W. Kazmaier, Jr., of Key Largo, FL.; 6 step-grandchildren; 11 step great-grandchildren; brother, John W. Baker of Fostoria; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brother, Harry Baker and sister, Lois Skidmore. Friends may call at the Maison-Dardenne Funeral Home, Maumee on Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. Interment Ft. Meigs Cemetery. Don was born July 8, 1920 in Vanlue, OH to the late Orville and Lois Ruth (Baker) Thompson. On July 4, 1940 Don married Clara Jane Miller and she survives along with two daughters: Lois Jean (Douglas) Shank of Bowling Green, KY and Nancy L. (Eric) Rothlisberger of Mt. Blanchard, OH. Also surviving are seven grandchildren: Kevin and Craig Bell, Matthew Rothlisberger, Angela Wetzel, Dawn, Lori and Karen Thompson, nine great-grandchildren, sister, Viola Moffitt of Oak Harbor, and daughter in law Nancy Thompson of Fostoria. Preceding Don in death was a son: Donald J. Thompson, sister Dorothy Heck, and his grandson, Erik Lynn Rothlisberger. Don was a retired farmer and truck driver for Hancor and a longtime member of First Christian Church. He formerly belonged to Moose Lodge No. 698 and Don enjoyed hunting, golf, and camping. Don served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. (November 28, 2005) at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, Findlay, with Pastor Nicole Mazza-Fredley officiating, burial will follow in Knollcrest Cemetery, east of Findlay with full military graveside services conducted by the Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad. Earl J. Baker, 87, formerly of rural Arcadia, died at 6:45 p.m. Monday at Winebrenner Extended Care Facility. He was born Nov. 26, 1897 in Cass Township to Alexander and Mae (Taylor) Baker. He married Troas Altman in January 1920 and she died in April 1956. He later married Verma Fish. Surviving are two sons, Delton E. of Findlay; Cloyce E. of Van Buren; four daughters, Mrs. LeRoy (Onalee) Taylor, Maitou Beach, Mich.; Mrs. Travis (Luella) Whitman, Bloomdale; Mrs. Ralph (Donelda) Goldfarb, Long Island, N.Y.; Mrs. Charles (Maxine) Stukins, Kettering; 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Garnet Kunkle, Brownsville, Texas; and Mrs. Helen Semler, Findlay. Mr. Baker was a retired farmer. He attended Salem United Methodist Church in Cass Township. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. at Coldren-Crates Funeral home, the Rev. Baker, 52, Rt. 1, Arcadia, died at 6 a.m. yesterday in Findlay Hospital. She had been taken ill at 4 p.m. Tuesday. Mrs. Baker was born Sept. 7, 1897 in Hancock County, a daughter of Nelson and Luella (Stoker) Altman. She was married to Earl J. Baker, Jan. 1, 1920 and he survives. OTher survivors are: six children, Mrs. LeRoy Taylor, 417 Allen Avenue; Mrs. Travis Whitman, Cygnet; Delton E., 410 East Edgar Avenue; Donelda H. Baker, Los Angeles, Calif.; Cloyce Eugene and Maxine at home; and four grandchildren. One brother, Orin Altman and three sisters, Mrs. Jason Latham, Mrs. Harry Stahl, of Findlay, and Mrs. Harold Freck, Mt. Blanchard, also survive. Mrs. Baker was a member of the Salem Church, Cass Township. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow from the Coldren Funeral Home, the Rev. George Davis in charge. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home and will remain there for services.
