Obituary: GEORGE F. BROWN GONE - Former Prominent Business Man of Caro Dies of Detroit from Complication of Diseases - The Detroit papers of Tuesday contain the announcement of the death of Geo F. Brown, a former resident of this place, at Grace Hospital of that city, at half past twelve that day from stomach trouble and complications. Mr. Brown has been ill for several months and was spending the winter in Florida with his family when he grew suddenly worse. A special car was chartered which arrived in Detroit last week Thursday, but he was beyond the aid of medical skill. Mr. Brown was a prominent Caro citizen twenty years ago partner of the firm of Hood & Brown, stave heading timbers. When the timber gave out he removed to Merrill where he operated for several years in the same line, afterwards going to Charlevoix where the firm was organized under the name of Liking & Brown and the business was very prosperous so that it is estimated that Mr. Brown's estate was inventoried not far from $75,000. The remains were taken to Charlevoix for burial.
