Born Oct. 4, 1920, in SanToy, he was a welder, formerly employed by Sidwell Brothers, and retired from Chesterhill Stone. Together with his wife, he formerly owned and operated Weiner Carry-Out in Malta. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church in McConnelsville, where he was a lector and former member of the Holy Name Society. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ruth Maxine Fisher Weiner of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Ruth Ann and Chuck Baker of Columbus; four sons and daughters-in-law, Lawrence A. "Larry" and Judy Weiner Jr. of McConnelsville, Richard and Chloe Weiner of Malta, Ron and Sandy Weiner of Zanesville and Michael and Teresa Weiner of Malta; two sisters, Dorothy C. Kent of New Lexington and Harriett (James) Densmore of Crooksville; grandchildren, Chip Weiner, Julie and Ted Brooker, Christopher Weiner, Jeremy and Lynn Baker, Mary Beth and Jimmy Barnhart, Ronnie Weiner, Michael and Patricia Weiner and Cassie and Patrick Winner; great-grandchildren Lacey, Dakota, Montana and Kateri Brooker, Alivia, Nicholas and Gabriella Weiner, Kayla Baker and Colton Barnhart. Calling hours will be 2 to 8 p.m. today, Nov. 10, at the Goebel Funeral Home, 36 N. Buckeye St., Crooksville, where a rosary service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, 2004, at St. James Catholic Church on Bell Avenue, McConnelsville, with Father Paul Walker as celebrant.
