She was 88. Born in Medina, Ohio in 1897, she was the daughter of the late Carl J. and Pearl Brenner Warner. Mrs. Wyllie was a resident of Wilton for 20 years and a member of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church and the National Audubon Socierty of Connecticut. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Arthur J. Hoe of Weston, Mrs. Paul Fleischman of Annapolis, Md., one brother, E. A. Warner of Wilton; seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Service and burial were private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Connecticut Audubon Society, 2325 Burr Road, Fairfield. The Bouton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She was the wife of Arthur J. Hoe. Mrs. Hoe was born in New York City on Nov. 18, 1923, a daughter of the late J. Ronald and Amelica Warner Wyllie. She had been a secretary at Weston Middle School prior to her retirement in 1985. A resident of Weston for 30 years, Mrs. Hoe was a life member and former board member of the Weston Historical society and a board member of the Wilton Historical Society. She was also a member of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Sierra Club, the Westchester Historical Society and the Saugatuck Congregational Church in Westport. In addition to her husband of 25 years, Mrs. Hoe is survived by five sons, Michael Boughton, Thomas Boughton, and David Boughton, all of San Francisco, Calif., Jonathan Boughton of Boston, Mass., and Nathaniel Boughton of Atlanta, Ga.; three grandchildren, four stepchildren, seven step-grandchildren, and one step-great-granddaughter. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Saugatuck Congregational Church, 245 Post Road East, Westport. The Rev. Alan Johnson, pastor, will officiate. There are no calling hours and the interment is to be private. Contributions in memory of Mrs. Hoe may be made to the American Lung Association of Connecticut, 12 Byington Place, Norwalk 06850. Obituary from the Toledo Blade newspaper: Laid to Rest - The funeral of Edwin Spear, formerly of Toledo, who was killed in an accident Friday night in Chicago, was held this afternoon from the residence of his brother-in-law, R. H. Scribner, 2368 Putnam Street. Mr. Spear was returning from the theatre Friday to his home when he was struck by a train. He was 47 years old and was born and reared in Toledo. He was a member of the Produce Exchange and was for a number of years engaged in the grain business. His wife, who was formerly Miss Elizabeth Plummer, of this city, and three children survive him. Mrs. Rollin H. Scribner is a sister. Twelve years ago, Mr. Spear went to Chicago and established the American Computing Scale Company, which proved a most successful venture. He remained there up until the time of his death. The remains reached here this morning and the service this afternoon was conducted by the Rev. L. P. MacDonald of St. Mark's Church.

Born in Toledo, Mrs. Scribner lived here until 1929, when she moved to Los Angeles. About four years ago, she moved to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Marian S. Sweeney, Shaker Heights, O. She was a member of the Inverness Club and the Toledo Club here and the Los Angeles Country Club. Also surviving are four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Services will be tomorrow at 1:30 P.M. in the Brown-Forward Mortuary, Shaker Heights. Burial will be private.

Besides his parents, he is survived by a brother, Carleton Scribner, Deerfield, Mich., and a sister, Mrs. J. F. Sweeney, Cleveland, O. Funeral services will be held in St. Mark's Episcopal Church Tuesday at 2 P.M. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
