Obituary from the Massillon Independent newspaper: JACOB ROHR FUNERAL TODAY - The funeral of the late Jacob Rohr, 74, a molder, who died Wednesday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Otto Leffel, 527 Center Street, Canton, after an illness of 10 weeks from heart disease, was held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The G.A.R. had charge of the services. Burial was made in Westlawn Cemetery. Rohr came to this country from Germany, his native country, and served in the Civil War on the Northern side. He was a brother of William Rohr, of 600 East Walnut Street, this city.

Obituary from the Massillon Independent newspaper: Fred Rohr, aged 66 years, died at 8:25 this morning at his home at 45 Rodman Street, death being due to asthma, from which the deceased had been ailing for the past three months. The funeral will be held at 1 o'clock from the late home, and at 1:30 further services will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, the Rev. L. H. Burry officiating. Interment will be made in Massillon Cemetery. The deceased is survived by two sons, Arthur and Ralph Rohr, of this city, and three daughters, Mrs. A. Steibner, Mrs. Frank Kline and Miss Bertha Rohr, also of this city. His wife died about two years ago. The deceased was a plasterer by trade and is mourned by a large circle of friends.

Mrs. Rohr had been a resident of the city for many years and is survived by her husband and several children. The time of the funeral has not been determined.

Death occurred at the home of the deceased near Crystal Spring. Mr. Rohr's marriage to catherine Klein took place in 1871 in this city. Mrs. Rohr, with six children, survives the deceased. The children are Mrs. John Sheffler and Mrs. Jacob Blatz, of this city; Mrs. Jacob Heinbuch, Navarre; Mrs. Richard Smith, Philip and Henry Rohr, Crystal Spring. There are six brothers - Frederick, Peter, Daniel, William and Mrs. Margaret Fetzer, of this city; Henry Rohr, Toledo, and Jacob Rohr, oc canton. Funeral services will be held at the residence at 1 o'clock and St. John's Evangelical Church at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon.

Klein, 83, of 210 State Ave. N.E. was pronounced dead Wednesday at 6:31 p.m. on arrival at Massillon Community Hospital, where she was taken from the Lodge Nursing Home in Navarre. Her death followed a long illness. A lifelong resident of Massillon, Miss Klein was a retired self-employed seamstress. Surviving is a sister-in-law, Mrs. Opal Klein. The funeral will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Atkinson-Feucht-Shaidnagle Funeral Home. Interment will be made in the Massillon Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 9 and for an hour before the services Friday.

WILLIAM ROHR, carriage-maker and blacksmith, Canal Fulton; is a son, of Henry and Margaret Rohr, who came from Germany and settled in Jackson Township about 1840.The father of our subject was a mason by trade, which he followed together with farming. He died in Jackson Township in 1871; the mother still resides there. William was born in Jackson Township, and is the youngest child of a family of seventeen children. He commenced to learn his trade at the age of 16 at Massillon, where he remained for four and one-half years. He then went to Carrollton and embarked in business for himself. He only remained there a short time, however, and in March, 1881, removed to Canal Fulton where he has started a manufactory, making all kinds of carriages, buggies, wagons, etc., and in connection has a blacksmith and general repairing shop. This shop promises, in time, to be one of the leading industries of that section. Mr. Rohr was married in November 1880, to Miss Laura Fosnacht, of Perry Township.

She is survived by her husband, William Rohr, three sons, George, Charles and Harry Rohr, of Massillon; six grandchildren, an aged father, George Fasnacht, three sisters, Mrs. George Wagner and Mrs. Otto Brown, of Massillon, and Mrs. J. Obituary from the Massillon independent newspaper: Russell Rohr, 21, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Rohr, of 25 Arch Street, died this morning at 6:30 o'clock at the city hospital after an illness of a year. He had been confined at the hospital for seven weeks. He was a former Washington High School athlete, earning varsity letters in football, basketball and track. He played end on the Orange and Black Football team for three years and was a member of the undefeated eleven of 1922. Last fall he entered Ohio University at Athens and while there became ill, his illness forcing him to discontinue his studies and return home. He was a member of the Kappa Phi Alpha Fraternity. He was also a member of the First Christian Church of this city. Besides his parents, a brother, William, survives. The funeral will be held at the residence Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. The Rev. H. F. Oakes, pastor of the First Christian Church, will officiate. Interment will be made in Massillon Cemetery.
